Terms of Service for Elaine Bowler Reiki

Welcome to Elaine Bowler Reiki's terms of service! By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Elaine Bowler is a Reiki Master Teacher, & and is a non-registered healthcare worker.
2. Elaine Bowler Reiki has obtained Accredited Reiki Treatment Practitioner "ARTP" membership status with Reiki Australia.
3. current certificates for First Aid & CPR 
4. Current Public Liability & Indemnity Insurance:  Certificate of Currency
5. is also serving a 3-year term as a Director on the Board with Reiki Australia.
6. Reiki Treatment services are not a substitute for professional medical care or treatment. 
7. Reiki treatment is compatible with any and all medical, psychological and complementary health systems.
8.  No specific outcome can be assured
9. Reiki Practitioners do not interfere with medical treatments, prescribe medications, diagnose
10. Reiki Practitioners do Not give a prognosis unless they are otherwise qualified.  
11. Reiki is the art of natural healing.
12. Reiki treatments offer support for your well-being.
13. Animal Reiki treatments offer support for their overall well-being and may enhance and promote an improved quality of life.
14. A Client Information and Disclaimer Form is required to be filled out prior to receiving your Reiki Treatment Service, for each individual and for each animal.
15. If you are the parent or guardian of a child 14 or younger for whom you are seeking Reiki treatment, your signed consent will be required on a separate consent form.
16. The Health Records Act 2001 (HR Act) protects the privacy of an individuals' health information and regulates the collection and handling of such health information. The Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 also apply.
17. Any information provided by clients during a session will be kept confidential.
18. Your practitioner will not make any contact over the private areas of your body (breasts, genitals, lower buttocks) unless there is a clinical foundation and you specifically consent to this as part of your treatment. Due to the sensitive nature of such treatment, your signed consent will be required on a separate consent form. 
19. If your Reiki practitioner includes any practices other than Reiki in your treatment, this must be explained and agreed to before the actual Reiki treatment begins. 
20. You will remain fully clothed during your Reiki treatment session. Shoes should be removed for the duration of the Reiki treatment.
21. In-Person sessions are conducted either by using light touch, light physical contact, or no-contact, where the practitioners' hands are placed a few centimetres just above the body to deliver the treatment.
22. Your practitioner will employ a sequence of hand positions according to your needs and your Reiki practitioner’s branch of Reiki training. A visual chart of hand positions is made available for your reference.
23.  Your treating practitioner will discuss the treatment session with you and will offer time for discussion.
24. If you have any questions or feedback regarding the Reiki Treatment Services you have received, please contact Elaine Bowler Reiki to discuss your concerns. A complementary 15-min phone consultation is available to all potential clients before and after treatments,

26. Cancellations for Individual appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance, or a Late Cancellation Fee will be charged of $60.
27. Where less than 24 hour notice is provided due to illness, your individual Reiki Treatment will be transferred to a Distance Reiki session, for the same day, or scheduled for later that same day or evening.
28. No refunds apply to late cancellations.
29. A Gift Voucher valid for 12 months will be provided where the reason is for 'change of mind'.
30. Cancellations for All events of 2 Hours or longer, must be made a minimum 72 hours in advance.
31. Payment for all Reiki services are due at the time of booking. Once payment is received, you will receive a Confirmation Booking Email and Text of your scheduled appointment.
32. Appointment reminders will be sent via email and text 75-48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time.
33. Refunds - A refund may be provided under Australian Consumer Law, if appropriate notice is given.
34. If a service is cancelled or rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances without notice, a Gift Voucher/Credit may be provided at the discretion of Elaine Bowler Reiki.
